Project for my Sustainable Design class a few weeks ago. Assignment: create a useful household item with all twenty test tubes.
I have created prototype of a vase design from leftover 1/4'' plexiglass cut by laser cutting. It holds up to 10 test tubes (I spent many hours cutting test tubes by hand
) and is put together by halved joints. There are many things I wish I can fix about it but i think this came out pretty well the first time 
I made it specifically for the purpose of dying flowers in mind... something we all done for science in our childhood (: ?
